New black variation on the popular Ferocious Buckle!

This is a new release of our Black Ops Ferocious buckle, with the face of the buckle laser-annealed black. Our previous edition of this buckle was made black using a gun metal process, but gunmetal fades over time and has to be re-applied, so we developed this lasting annealed finish.

Creating the effect requires time and patience. We very slowly laser anneal the buckle face for over an hour and also laser the bolts and prongs separately. The laser beam aims straight down so the sides and back of the buckle are not lasered and the edges of the round bolt and prong heads are also not blackened, but the overall effect is a very attractive dark buckle — much blacker than gunmetal. At some angles to a light source subtle colors may be evident in the black finish as a result of crystalline structures that the laser annealing creates on the buckle surface.
